Ring Of Fire - Pyro, Motion Capture and Motion Clips in Cinema 4D
This Cinema 4D tutorial by Joe Herman covers several very important skills including motion capture, nonlinear animation with the motion clip system and Pyro, the remarkable pyrotechnic simulation system built into Cinema 4D that lets you create all manner of fire, smoke, explosions, steam, flames and more. In this tutorial, we start by important separate motion capture files, learn how to convert them to motion clips and then use the nonlinear motion mode to string them together to create one unified performance of a chacter jumping through a ring of fire. We'll learn how to have the ring catch fire on the bottom and spread across the whole ring as well as how to modify and refine the look of the flames. Next, we'll learn how to get Redshift to render the fire. Finally, we'll learn how to cache the Pyro simulation in order to be able to easily scrub the timeline back and forth and increase performance. There are a lot of very important lessons in this tutorial, so if you want to work with motion capture and Pyro simulations, you may want to watch it today!
